Here's a message posted by The Shogun, over a TWC.
Hi guys
yes it's true, I had a chat with the guys at SEGA and this is the official line:
We can confirm that the early release of Rome: Total War Barbarian Invasion within Sweden is solely due to the unauthorised actions of a distributor.
SEGA is a staunch believer in simultaneous European release dates as they represent the fairest opportunity for all people to get hold of their favourite games. That this distributor has decided to break the agreed release date is unfortunate, unwelcome and unfair to those gamers in the rest of Europe who are patiently awaiting the release of Rome: Total War Barbarian Invasion.
SEGA is in discussions with this distributor to rectify the situation. We can only apologise to those gamers in the rest of Europe still awaiting the opportunity to purchase Rome: Total War Barbarian Invasion and SEGA urges all gamers to remain patient for just a few days more - September 30th is not so far away to wait for this awesome expansion pack.
So that's it really, look I'm sorry about this but these things can and do happen. As for the issues regarding piracy let me just say this, it is illegal and discussion of it is not permitted on these boards.
Any way guys I just wanted to let you know what happen and personally apologise if any one has been really upset by this. But hey not long now...
