The latin teacher gave me a 10(A+) because I knew expressions in Latin, and other stuff, which I learned from RTW. :laugh4:

The same. And I also had an obsession for Japan. Started with Shogun. And for Medieval history, started with MTW.

But Rome hasn't convinced me.

I got addicted to history when I played Empire Earth. It led me on to play Rome: Total War, which REALLY sparked history addiction the biggest...

Wow, it's funny you mention this.

Last night at soccer practice we did a drill where there are three teams. Red, yellow and blue. There are three goals, one for each team. We used half a field with one goal on the goal line. Two were diagnal on the half line.

Anyway, it was every team for themselves. I used what the Romans did with the Visagoths and Huns to win our team the game. The Romans would side with the Visagoths when the Huns got too strong and the Huns when the Visagoths got too strong. It was very smart.

We each start out with 7 points and when you get scored on you lose a point. You can team up on other teams also. So I convinced my team that the best thing to do was play them off on each other. Just kept yelling "Red, go against the yellow." when the yellow got the ball "Yellow and blue against red." I kept playing them off on each other until they crushed each other and we came in for the kill...

Long, hard to understand and possibly boring, but history helps!

same here...i know more bout the medieval era and the world war era than most of my history teachers cuz of all the games i played...doest help my french though ~D

I knew more then my junior history teachers as they were actually english teachers...but nowerdays I don't, even though I know more then the average Joe...my teachers know what they're doing

i have loved history (especially swords) my entire life but what really sparked me was in 3rd grade my teacher said something about romne being the best country ever and later something about thermoplye anyway since its always been about the classical era so when i heard about RTW i dived on it. i still know alot about medieval times, limited knoledge on feudal japan.
