Small issue. Just noticed following the outage that the hyperlink button isn't working properly. You get to make only one entry, and it uses that both for the label, and for the link.

Not just that... Quick reply doesn't work, neither do any button in the unquick reply screen. Add: And this thinglet purged my little, innocent wheat-coloured dots at the beginning and the end of my post. ~:( OTOH HTML works weird enough.

Well, well, well... It purges all paragraphs, unless seperated with br tags, into one.

The outage was for an fairly major update to the forum software. AFAICT, this has meant the removal of some of the nice features that Tosa had hacked in over the last year or so, but has also added in some new major features (e.g. try editing one of your posts) along with some smaller tweaks. One of those tweaks would appear to be a change in the behaviour of a number of buttons.

If you use IE or Firefox, look for buttons on the top right hand of the edit box. There you should find a 3 or 4 buttons (depending on the browser). One of these switches editor from Standard to Advanced on the fly. Standard exposes more the of the innards of posts, which can be useful as it allows more detailed control than the WYSIWYG editor.

One suggestion: a number of things have changed around the Org, so it might be an idea to purge your cache to ensure that you are using the new versions. Things like the quick reply system and the buttons use Javascript to function properly.

Something else for you wizards: My membership status doesn't appear. Went to my CP but found nothing relevant. Other senior members' statii do appear though.

I think there has been a problem with the User Ranks. A number of staff and other members don't have their Ranks yet. I have a theory about why this might be: could you try posting in a forum that adds to post count (i.e. not the Watchtower) and see if your Rank shows up?
