Anyone here like the excellent novels of Clive Cussler with Dirk Pitt?!

Naah, not enough history for me.

Big deal...
They're excellent. Too bad I only own 2 books. :embarassed:
I actually like to read him. Easy enough. I think I actually own all the books on the series. I have, however, not read any of his other stuff yet. Will do in due time, I am sure.

I've got about 5 of his books. They are very good though. An excellent change from reading Historical books
EDit: not that historical books are bad, I love them but still a change is good

Read them all, and the newer Kurt Austin ones too... Plus I watched Sahara!!
So yeah, I like them... ~D
Just like Quid, I have not read the none-story ones... And I agree it is easy to read, I have mostly read them on flights (holidays and stuff)...
I haven't actually seen Sahara. I was abroad while it was running in the cinemas. I was therefore wondering if it was any good at all. Naturally, I would not expect any Oscar performances but something enjoyable while not having much else to do...

Kinda enjoyable.
But many parts missed ans mixed. The "battle" is at Fort Foureau, while in the movie it's on the Texas confederate ship they found in the desert!!!!
I used to read Cussler avidly, but about 4-5 years ago he completely abandoned all attempts at originality. The new Dirk Pitt books are just cliches and garbage writing and I will not read another one again. The first dozen or so are worth picking up though. After Sahara, it's mostly downhill.
