Boston is overpaid too. At least the Yankees have some farm-grown players on their roster - Bernie, Jeter, Rivera, Cano, Posada. Red Sox? hmmm...Varitek and erm...you traded Nomar so...

Right. Yankees are so homegrown. Giambi, Sheffield, A-Rod, RJ, Matsui.

Sheesh.

At least we have young bullpen guys like Paplebon and Hansen who throw in the mid 90's from our farm system and will actually contribute this postseason. (And about four or five other minor league blue chip guys.)

If the Yankees had anything in their farm system they might've been able to make a trade for a decent center fielder but no, they're stuck with Berror Williams.

As I type, Big Papi once again comes through. This is going to be a fun October.
