Is there any way to edit vices and virtues on a general?

I was playing a nice game as the Byzantines and all of a sudden my otherwise fantastic heir gets "unhinged loon." http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/mad.gif I don't mind negative vices that I know I caused myself, but it's ridiculous that he just gets this vice without having done anything wrong. I was hoping I could edit something and take it away, without having to go back to an earlier save. Any help would be much appreciated.

I was caused by your using lead pipes in your water system. Just do a re-vammping of the sewage system with concrete/steel pipes and you won't get strange vices no more.
