How to play with the celts and other non-playable factions?

You have to go into the bi/data/world/campaign/barbarian_invasion folder, then find the file descr_strat, there you remove the celts from the unplayable list and add them to the playable list.

Press the Print Screen key on your keyboard. Sometimes the result is a black shot, like me for isntance. So I use Howie's Quick Screen Capture.

That works for most factions but i don't know why i can't play the slavs roxolans and ostrogoths they appear to be selectable but when i try to select it the game crashes.Do you have any iddea on what's wrong?

You go into descr_strat PLUSS \\Rome - Total War\bi\data\text\ campaign_descriptions.txt There you change the estimation of difficultness to ‘EASYfrom ‘NON-PLAYABLE’ ’, ‘MODERATE’ or ‘HARD.

For the factions Burgundii, Roxolani and Lombardi you`ll have to add the following entries:

If you want to play WRE and ERE rebels you add this:

This`ll unlock the Celts, Burgundii, Lombardi, Roxolani and the Berbers.
For the Romano-British, Ostrogoths, Slavs and the Roman Rebels you`ll need to add settlements and family members.
