I thought that the first one was OK. It wasn't very complex, and single player was boring, but MP was fun and the lack of complexity meant that my brother wouldn't mind playing it with me. BF1942 was better though.

The main problems were:

1:Levels were way too small

2:No space battles(More like "Ground wars battle front"~D)

3:Flight controls weren't great

5:Not enough different kinds of ships

6:Not nearly enough levels

It looks like nearly all of them are going to be fixed. I think i'll probably buy it.

true, but i think it's pretty limited. You only get a set amount of time before your reset as a regular soldier. One thing i like about it though is that if you
"spawn camp" as a jedi, the meter will run out faster.

Maybe we should form some sort of "semi-clan"? Some one will probably take "Mongoose" so i'll use "Mongoosix"(The bartixain version of my name~D )

We might have some time zone issues...what Time zone are you in?

Come on... who didn't like to be a Droideka? That was one fun style.

Three Droidekas cold really lay the smackdown if they acted together (leapfrogging advance).

hehe. That was fun, but could be annoying if you need to deploy/redeploy too much...one shot from a jet trooper and you fall apart:help: I like playing as the clones more, jet packs are t3h r0x0rz

Well, not really a clan so much as small group of people from this forum who agree to try to met at some time. our tag should be "Bartix"~D What im looking forword to sre the space battles; Flying a star fighter is more fun when you don't spend 80% of your time trying not to fly into the exploding field of doom.

Well as far as I remember there weren't many maps where the Droidekas had to move a lot in wheel where it could be highly dangerous.

The Bespin platforms were absolutely perfect to be Droidekas. Two could block the tunnels while the last recharged its shields.
I did this with a couple of riends durign a LAN. Our team won easily as the others never got a hang on what to do about it. They tried rockets, but then we had our little friends running interference.
Grenades were the only real scare as they could land underneath the shields.

hmm...i guess it would work but you would need fairly decent team work; something that you can't expect if your playing with random people online:dizzy2:

I'll have to try that at the next lan party, thanks.

No online too many are selfcentered.

You will die, and die often, but most often you take 3-4 enemies with you, and since you can roll you will back in the thick of it very soon after dying.

It really is impressive.

yep. There are lots of team players online...for the other team. i've seen people be gunned down just because they were too close to the spawn point for a ship someone wanted. the ship wasn't even there yet:dizzy2:

There is a new(Or at least i think it is...) Video for the game, looks good. the space battles seem very well done and they reused some old sounds from x wing alliance.~D

i like SWBF because it was so easy to play - and downloaded mod maps that kept it from getting boring. i'll check out swbf2, too.

SWBF lan was fun. I will see if version II is viable.

I never got Battlefront 1, but I really wanted to. My brother and I are going to get it, and I can't wait!

I played Battlefront2 demo, and while I was quite pissed at the shortness of the levels and the lack of split screen in the demo, I was really hooked. Can't wait!

I don't see any reason to doubt that it will, it looks like more of an XPAC then a new game;no major changes, just alot of new content~

Steppe Merc

It was pretty good, but there were some AI issues, and SP wan't that much fun IMHO. though online MP(Lan was even better) was fun. In other words, get it but expect to play mostly MP

*Edit*
They released demo?! Was it only for XBOX?

solypsist

The moded levels were well made for the most part. I never liked the larger hoth level though, probably because the rebels never used the snow speeders~

looks like alot of peope are playing, maybe we should form a clan. We can use [TW.ORG] As the tag~D If we get, say, 15 people to join, then time zone differences wouldn't be such an issue.
