View Full Version : Are there command line options for the setup.exe?

after having some major problems with rtw:bi and the uninstaller not actually uninstalling anything I removed the activision folder manually. big mistake as the RTW installer (setup.exe) only gives me an option to "uninstall" and when I try to uninstall it kills the machine stone dead with a blue screen that requires a switch off/on. i'm wondering if I can run setup.exe with a switch or option to force the install rather than an uninstall.

any help would be appreciated?

You should search your registry after "Rome - Total War" and remove all keys and "folders" that you find.
Do this by pressing on start->run, entering regedit and clicking ok
Then press Ctrl+F, deselect "Search whole string only" and search for "Rome - Total War"

thanks for your help. i'd already tried that but there were so many of them I got bored and used a registry cleaner. I seemed to have developed a problem with 3d max as well so to cut a long story short I've reformatted the damn thing.:furious3:
