Can I use my RTW saved games with BI:RTW?

I have an unfinished Imperial Campaign I am trying to load after installing BI and then running RTW. However, it will not load. I have an unsettling feeling that I can't use old saved games, which would make me cry. :help:

Just to clarify, I'm not trying to use my Imperial campaign saved games from inside BI. I installed BI, then ran the rtw.exe and attempted to load my rtw imperial campaign saved games. It did not work.

If it's because BI automatically updated RTW to 1.3, is there a way to 'go back' to 1.2 rtw so I can still play those games?

As it stands, 1.2 save games will not work with the 1.3 update in BI. Creative Assembly have stated they are aware of this and trying to fix it. Personally I'm holding off getting BI or patching until either they deliver or I finish my campaign. I only get to play an hour or two a night so it represents a few months playtime.

I believe the answer is no...

Though in theory if you have created a copy of the RTW directory at 1.2 and then updated the existing install to BI, you should still be able to run the 1.2 executable.
