Favorite allied Faction for MTW 1.1?

What I mean is are there any factions that you always help and leave alone? Mine would have to be the Swiss. Being nice to them comes in handy when your facing the a Golden Horde army 30,000 strong and they send over 10,000 units of swiss armoured pike-men and swiss halberids to aid in your battle(yes,it happened to me). Also since they start out so small I'm there to protect them. That damn HRE is so mean to them. So, what is your favorite faction you always allie with every game and help out?

Well I help most of my allies but I only do that when I'm not at war already. It adds influence for my king. I just back up the smallest threat.

If you're asking about a specific faction then it'd be the Papacy (if I'm catholic). Being Pope's puppet is not that bad actually. You'll feel it when you get soldiers for free. As weird as it may sound, but Pope got my crusade units. A pope can be really annoying but when you use a little violence, slap him about three times, he'd understand. LOL

Also I would consider religions and such. If I'm catholic and Almohad is killing the Spanish and French then I'll barricade Provence to prevent them from pushing up. Lastly, I attack a faction that attacks another faction first.

I never help people. They always betray me in the end even if I defeat their enemies fro them and give them the lands I conquered. *Walks away to continue cursing about treacherous Byzantines*

Since my allies seem to always turn on me in the end I haven't offered any help to anyone in my current campaign. Since I'm the HRE I would consider protecting Europe from the Golden Horde and muslim factions if they overran Spain. Right now it's 1240 and I'm watching the Horde plow through the Hungarians and work their way to my doorstep. There should be a good showdown coming soon...
