Adding New Names

How can I add completely new names to VI? I've tried adding Portuguese names to VI three times and they always fail, the game won't even open! I have added them to both campmap\names and \loc\eng\names correctly btw.

Do u want names for provinces on the campaign map, for the units, or names for princes, kings, queens, etc?
