My WRE faction is only producing daughters. At this rate I will run out of generals soon, as they are still dying off/getting slaughtered in battle.
Is it something in the water?
My faction leader is Christian, but most of my generals and cities are pagan. Is this anything to do with it?

Remember that your daughters will still marry... thus giving you male heirs. And I don't think religion would affect it, but who knows?
Actually the Chrisitans would be more likely not to have kids. They can get Abbots who decrease the chances of having kids.
If you are running low on active family members then lead captains to victory over rebels. That should grant you a few quick MotH. And those daughters should also marry. Don't be too picky as the candidates are less great this time around. Anything beyond *religion* is a bonus now.

I have 13 daughters and no sons, other than the ones I started off with (I think). I've only had one marriage proposal so far, which I accepted.
All my generals are in their 40's; just hope I get some sons soon...

The WRE does start with a lot of family members though. Unless you conquer more lands, you probably won't get many new family members or children. And if you've lost a few territories, getting new sons is harder still. This is assuming family members are still tied in with the number of provences you own. This seems to be the case in my campaigns so far. When the odd generation start to die, the daughters will probably end up getting married to adopted generals instead.

That kind of makes sense. I have some cities without generals now (due to natural attrition) and it can only get worse as time goes on, unless I start producing some heroes.
