Anyone figure out how the "Attach photo" feature works? I tried to attach my avatar, doesn't seem to work. put your avatar on your desktop (drag it from the browser) and then "browse" to it, that's what i did.. my pic is of cleveland heights, where i live, but it made it too small to figure out what you are looking at. :undecided:
edit: i know you can drag the avatar from firefox, with IE you might need to "save as" or something.

The avatars are GIFs, I tried saving that and using it, no luck. I converted to JPG, still no luck. I'm thinking that it's not working because I didn't do it originally. You can add "Shoutouts" later, maybe not pics. Oh well.

The closest .Org member to me is InsaneApache, in Bradford. I'm near Huddersfield, but the damn thing made me put down Huddersfield. I actually live in a village called Shepley, several miles south-east of Huddersfield.
EDIT: Tokai, could you delete my first entry? I found that it actually knows where Shepley is.

Itas actually a bit sinister this, I just zoomed right in on my entry in London, and its put me only about 1/3 of a mile away from where I actually am. (I don't think that is giving too much away since about 3/4 of all the lawyers in London, together with about 500,000 other people, are within that radius of my flag)
But all I told it was "London". So it must be able to tell where you are from your internet connection. (sorry if that's old news, I didn't know they could do that)
That could actually be quite bad if you lived somewhere small so the location was pretty precise.

Removed him again. Unfortunately, I can't ban people, only remove them and I can't check the map every minute so we'll have to live with him popping up every once in a while. I think it's best to send me a pm when you spot him, no need to ruin this nice thread talking about him, he's not worth the attention.

Wow quite a few people near me in Manchester. I don't actually live in Manchester but when asked the generel area I live in I allways say Manchester. Any way for all the Mancunians I will give you a clue I live in a small town quite near to Manchester that begins with K. King canute was meant to of crossed a river there (as if, stupid people trying to make the town sound better) and you can do not to much there as it's a very small town. Well any guesses?
I found it odd that the city where I live (which became a part of a larger city) was on the map, and actually appears before Ottawa does when zoomed out, but wasn't recognised as a city at all when I tried to add myself. ~

~:) I like. Me added. I went to edit my original shoutout but it just added the second set of text :embarassed:. Now I look like a gahnatic.
The ultrazoom doesn't reveal my actual whereabouts very well. Not that I'd mind ... someone trying to find me would be a nice exercise in zanshin; I have been rather remiss of late. Besides, the 2-year-old Terror Incarnate's screech is high and loud enough to pierce the eardrums of any would-be invader, and they'd be turned to stone by the sheer beauty of the 5-year-old Deva Princess. If the 7-month old Lil Buddha just ate, beware the extremely volatile gas and subsequent toxic dump (how does something so small make such a BIG, NASTY smell??!!). If they managed to survive that, well, the master is a damn good lawyer, and then there's me (I'm so butt-ugly that even Gawaine would beat me in a Mr. Handsome contest ~D ; even an insane person would run away screaming).
Very, very cool. Nice to see so many nearby. Drisos: you look like you're close to Kas. If I ever get to Europe, you can bet I'll be stopping in to see him, and if you're nearby, it would be cool to rendezvous. I won't be there for a while though, so by then you'll be old enough to join us for beers, babes, and ... whatever else suits our fancies at the moment.

Thats an interesting point.
I live in an area that has a collective name (loads of smaller towns)
Its put me in an area quite away from where I live, its actually an old map as my house/road is not even on the map. The house is 3 years old and the road about five.
