View Full Version : STW for Nintendo DS
I would have posted this in the Console section, but that's only for Spartan: Total Warrior right now, so I thought to post it here. I wonder if it'll even be read.
In any case, I've heard a few times now that STW is planned to be released on the Nintendo DS. This version of the game will be modified from the original, including new mini-games that will automatically pop up at the right time. These mini games include attempting to shoot the enemy general once he begins to flee, being your own fleeing general and attempting to dodge incoming arrows as you escape, and guiding your ninja assassin (a la Sid Meier's Pirates!) to his target without being caught by the guards. I haven't heard if these mini-games can be disabled or not, however, so this does ruin a bit of the pure strategy fun that most of us here rather love.
Any other input?

Wow, that is kind of bizarre. That raises serious concerns about how in dept the strategy portion would be. If they could pull off something close to the traditional gameplay it would be very impressive.
Indeed! ~:)
Sadly I don't have Nintendo DS... :embarassed:
Btw: NeonGod, untough it's indeed way too quiet in the S:TW forums there are still quite some who check them... I visit here every day but sadly I don't often see new posts.
True, it's quite a bummer that the best of the Totalwar games is the least popular on the board.
I apologise for my first post, however. It seems it is not STW being ported, but an STW clone (on some level...) called Shogun Empires.

I see. Well, it might be fun anyway ~:)

Don't be so hard on yourself ~;) Just a little mistake.
Anyways thank you for your visits to Sword Dojo.

After seeing the treatment Dynasty Warriors got on the PSP and *gags* GBA, I'm thankful STW isnt being ported.
Now if only they would make a PC version of the board game Samurai Swords (formally known as Shogun). I had so much fun backstabbing my friends in that game, but I was truely disappointed when Shogun: Total War was not a port.

I'd settle for a copy of the board game myself. The damn thing's out of print...again! I've been looking for a copy for a while now.
