i just created a berserker unit but once they come with in a certain distance to the enemy the game crashes. i think it has something to do with unit_prod_11 file because when i clone the viking stats it works fine but when i change the unit size, moral, armor, and melee in crashes. can anyone help?

unit size in prod11 can not exceed 100
armour and melle stats can't crash
game unless you gave a stupid number
like"100" I would imagaine.

If don't know the moddifiers you don't
what your changing.
Example,can you tell me for a fact
the a negitive number in prod file
give a negative effect
or what numbers get modifed in melee
is just melee or is it melee mutiplied
by weapons divided by shields plus a bonus for moral minus a bonus for
good looks ,do u know I don't
I could hazard a juess but I won't
because even if I could figure the
the system it would be useless without
knowing then how the engine moddifies it
with hardcoded stuff so untill
CA tells us the score I can't help
but I'm sure the multiplayer guys must have this sorted but I juess they don't read the forums caus they play the game instead he he

i changed cost (200), charge (8), melee (5), size (40), defence (0) and armor (0) - nothing else was changed from the viking original stats. i have other custom units that work fine but when these began to close in on the enemy it crashes.

btw, can someone tell me wether we can ADD units, or we have to replace some??? I haven't found answers(maybe searched with the wrong words...)

actually yes to both,

if we want to create more units it is more or less straight forward to mix and match existing units/weapons/shields to "have" a frsesh new unit.

We can add complete new bif animations, but we have to replace an existing bif to do so,

we hope the patch allows new bifs.
