View Full Version : Removing Peasants
How do you make peasants unrecruitable? Or perhaps some other way to remove the blight.

delete them out the export_descr_buildings.txt file, though i would only delete barbarian peasants wich are a-historic. you can also totally delete them, but i wouldnt do that if i was you.
to delete them outa custombattles...change their ownership to slave in export_descr_units.txt
What do you mean by a-historic?
In the export_descr_buildings.txt it will have all the lines saying recruit peasant for faction ... under the government buildings. Should I just erase the references to them found with those various gov. bulidings?

Right Pinder.
This is one of the lines under the government building set:
recruit "western peasant frank" 0 requires factions { franks, }
Change it to:
;recruit "western peasant frank" 0 requires factions { franks, }
The ";" renders the line a comment, and the game engine ignores the line. That should delete peasants being recruitable in the campaign, though you will be able to use them in custom battles or multiplayer.
Make sure to do that for any peasant units you want gone under every government building set.
And always back up the files you modify - in this case export_descr_buildings.txt
I hates the peasants, too!
