View Full Version : The World Series!!!
Can't believe there isn't a thread on this. None that I could find, anyway.
Kind of iffy on this one. I sorta want the 'Stros to win, but I don't have any strong feelings either which way. It just doesn't seem that dominant pitching is winning over the White Sox bats.

Good matchup! Astros should take two in Houston to even the series~;) .
I predicted the Astros 4 games to 2. Now the Astros have to win 4 more for me to be correct. ~

You should try cricket.
Where does the world come into this?
How many countries actually play baseball at a professional level? Two, three? Japan is the only one coming to mind, and they play with different rules, and (let's face it) most of the good Japanese players end up going to the MLB. It's only an "American" World Series because the rest of you can't appreciate the greatness of the game.

Toronto Blue Jays and....no one else. Basically the US has only lost one World Series.
Baseball is even more boring than hockey. And that's saying something. There are only 2 official nations that have teams in the MLB (US Canada) Puerto Rico isn't a nation but it could probably have it's own team. Plus I doubt that the US would ever let a Cuban team in, and Japan is waaay to far to have teams in the MLB even if they use the same rules. And that cover off all the baseball playing nations.
Baseball boring!! Blasphemy!! Baseball is just not a thrill ride; its a pressure boiler.
Baseball pfffffffffffffft who cares! That is not a sport it's a game :hide:

I like baseball, which is special for a Dutchman, I've even went to see the Mets play the Red Sox, which the Mets won.
Even though the game was a bit slow, I did enjoy myself.
Anyhow , I haven't been following the WS, it's not even broadcasted here in Holland.
