Here is the proof:

Editor's note: The photo of Condoleezza Rice that originally accompanied this story was altered in a manner that did not meet USA TODAY's editorial standards. The photo has been replaced by a properly adjusted copy. Photos published online are routinely cropped for size and adjusted for brightness and sharpness to optimize their appearance. In this case, after sharpening the photo for clarity, the editor brightened a portion of Rice's face, giving her eyes an unnatural appearance. This resulted in a distortion of the original not in keeping with our editorial standards.

WTF? The media really hates the right!~:joker:

Ha ha ha! Yeah, that original photo did look pretty frightening.

It's actually interesting to give some thought to the photos chosen by the press for their articles. For example, through much of Bush's first term, I couldn't help but notice that many of the photos I saw on CNN.com were rather, shall we say, poorly timed. He'd be in the middle of saying something, so that his mouth would be twisted into a strange shape, and his whole face would look ridiculous.

Then he won the election. Suddenly, inexplicably, his pictures started to look more normal. His head would appear level again, his mouth closed, and his eyes properly open.

That didn't last long, of course. It was some time ago that his photos began to take on that "candid" look again. I guess the guy will never have many fans among the press.

Hmmm. Maybe Bush has a stunt double with a slightly different nose... Or MAYBE it has something to do with that weird thing strapped to his back. ~D

The Condi picture is good too. Maybe next time they could do us a favor and digitally turn her lips upside down so she looks like she's smiling.

Does anybody remember when they did that to O.J. Simpson? During his trial, Time and Newsweek both ran Simpson's mugshot on their covers. Time altered the photo by making it darker and more sinister looking. They got in a bit of trouble for it at the time.

Apparently, there was just a picture of Oprah in some magazine where they just put her face on another woman's body! I can just imagine the poor Photoshop monkey sitting there trying to touch up Oprah's real picture and just giving up: Delete, copy, paste.

I remember. It was pretty funny. I have read that since then many of the magazines and especially the tabloids communicate with each other to make sure that they are not going to run the same cover story. ~D
