If you choose to prepare for the apocalyse, attach a few ballistic ceramic plates, anti-floating boom acetylene torches and twin .50s on your ship.

Nice one Fragony - are you going to rent it out?

Two popular sayings here in the US come to mind:

1. A boat is just a hole in the water in which you throw money.

2. The two happiest days of a man's life are the day he buys a boat, and the day he sells it.

Anyway, congratulations! Looks nice. ~

Nice boat Frag.

Good boy.

So, does she have a name?

Yes, 'de eerste' Translation: 'the first'. Call me confident ~D

Congratulations! That's awesome!

40 pk

I have no idea what a 'pk' is, and I doubt it's related to kilojoules.

What is this in horsepower terms?

Anyway, have fun!

Well.........in horsepowers it would be around....... 40! I thought pk was a universal term my bad. pk stands for 'paardekracht', which translates directly into 'horsepower'

Anyway, have fun!

Owwwwwwww yes :)

You are the envy of all us land animals.

If I ever drop by the Amsterdam area I'll take you up on that offer, or I think that's what it was. ~;)

(Well, this IS the backroom)

Very nice boat.

My cousin repairs them in NZ...

His 7.3m one has 244HP (horsepower) but it is made for long range fishing and isn't made for cruising and living in like that one is.

She is just like this one,

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v494/Fragony/schatjetoch.jpgRight. That is what the sailing community in The Neds call a 'flatiron'. I bet she runs on Heineken. Did your Mum knit those curtains herself, Fragony?

Alright, alright, I'm jealous. It has been a while since I owned a sailing yacht, but now that I live in the northern part of the country I catch myself stopping at marina's, leafing through yachting brochures... I am going to take my kids on a sailing trip next summer, probably to Sweden, on a yacht I can borrow from a friend. But sooner or later I am going to get serious about reinvesting my mortgage in 25 feet of Cornish Crabber or something. That is one of the best yachts ever built. Maybe I'll pass you by on my way out to sea... Alright, alright, no more jealous talk. Good luck Fragony, and may she stay afloat till the next bar!
