So, I'm playing as the Brutii on RTW 1.3 VH/M and the Marius reforms just occurred in 254 BC when the Scipii built an imperial palace in Capua. In v1.2 it could never happen before 220 BC and when it happened it was not automatic. Is there any way to stop it from happening this early?

Uhm, no.

They are randomly generated.

Well, they are not randomly generated in 1.3. In 1.3 they appear to occur as soon as one of the 3 Roman families (non-Senate) builds an Imperial Palace in Italy.

I did figure out a work-around for this. I switched the "and marian_reforms" and the "and not marian_reforms" in export_descr_buildings.txt. Now when I want the Marius Event to occur I will just put my old export_descr_buildings.txt. back in the data folder.

I haven't tested this yet, but the reforms may still depend on the italy hidden_resource. In that case you can remove it, or put it somewhere that is harder to get to.

The Marius Reforms do depend on the hidden resource Italy, but what I am looking for is a way to make the reforms occur only after a certain date. In v1.2 the reforms could not occur before 220 BC - and then there was just a small per-turn random chance that they would occur after one of the Roman factions built an imperial palace in Italy. I would like to make them occur much later - closer to their historical appearance ca. 108 BC.

Anyway, thanks to my work-around this isn't the most pressing issue. But if anyway knows how to put it back to the v1.2 level, that would be swell.

Thanks for the replies.
