Now I always thought that these guys were sincere. A hard thing for a father when divorce wrenches his children away. Some of their stunts were hilarious, and did a lot to raise the profile of their case in the UK.

Then, whilst doing some research for a thread in the Monestary, I came across this...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2004/10/10/wdads10.xml&sSheet=/news/2004/10/10/ixworld.html

Now these guys would frighten me. Do any members think that bully-boy tactics like this work?

Personally I prefer the UK option. IE: Dressing up as Batman and chaining yourself to a balcony at Buckingham Palace.

Reading something like this

"If adulterers were stoned to death, there would be no need for divorce," he said. "There is no crime more heinous than adultery. In my view, adultery is much more damaging to children's lives than paedophilia. Adultery not only corrupts a child, but the entire family as well."
gives me the shivers.

This statement and the means (e.g., stalking) these guys use to make their point make it seem that this is more about wounded pride than about genuine care for children.

They are a mixed bag for sure. Some legitimate issues, some legitimate protests - however some illegitimate suff thrown in.

So a parent commiting adultery is worse for the kids than having said parent stoned to death? ~

My two cents is this bunch are obviously criminal and, in the case of the leader at least, apparently unhinged.

I don't think this is exactly going to help the cause of ordinary Australian dads getting a rough deal in the family courts.

Dressing up as Batman and trying to climb into the Queen's bedroom seems a much better idea IMHO.

It will at least get you the right kind of attention, unlike those Auzzie nut jobs that are just being thuggish criminals.

Hey, it's as much about equality in the divorce courts as anything else by feminists these days if not more. And I like the dressing up as batman and pelting tony blair with purple power approach, it's funny

This would appear to be the nutbar himself. They show up at the ex-wife's house and party on her lawn dressed like this, yelling through bullhorns.

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v298/horsesass/aussie.jpgExcuse me? Are these gentlemen able to even come near any ex-wife's house without being arrested and siphoned off to the funny farm faster than you can say 'alimony'?

They should be in a movie fighting off aliens or something.

Hmmm, Looking at that picture its not hard to see:

- Why their wives divorced them

- Why their not allowed access to their kids.

Amen to that. I think judges generally take a dim view of you dressing up in ninja costumes and harassing women when they allocate custody.
