Hey everybody,

since I had some bad luck with single requests, I put this forward to the general audience which is hopefully able to help...

I am just returning to play MTW after RTW proved to be such a dissapointment - nice graphics but lacking challenge. To beaf up the old MTW days I thought about enjoying some of the mods I never tried before - but there is a serious problem - I do lack the english language files in the Medieval - Total War\Loc folder which are required in order to make the mods work properly ( messed up descriptions are almost a minor annoyance, since BKB and Medmod wont even start ) .

These files were neither included in my MTW nor my MTW:VI disks - since they are only roughly 1,5 MB, I was wondering if anyone could send the VI versions of them to alphamensch[at]web[dot]de so I can transfer my game to the english version an play those mods.

The files can be found on the disks and in the installation folders alike, so no need to install the game.

Thank you very much - help would be greatly apreciated.

I hate to double post here, but this thread seems to walk unanswered into oblivion!

Guys I am not asking for money, sacrifice of your unborn children or your very soul!

Its quite annoying having paid for a game and not being able to benefit from all its features just because you got a localised-to-the-extreme version! RAARRGH

Please help me on this one so I too can enjoy the many benefits the modding comunity worked out for MTW!

Your request is problematic regarding copyrights. These matters are not encouraged by forum rules.

I suppose, you as a buyer of a localized version of MTW aren“t entitled to possess other language versions. However I would advise you to simply ask the owner of copyright for permission. Maybe they will help you.

i think i read somewhere that just renaming the files could do the trick, anyone knows anything about this?

Thanks Operator and Astterion, but with Wes' help I figured out how to work this out with medmods own files so my request is of no concern any more.

See you guys around! :charge:
