A multiplayer "pact" made between players/clans that they'll adhere to a sort of "chivalry" to preserve the fun of the game, especially to avoid exploiting the game's technical flaws.
Members (those who signed up) are given the "award" to mark their status. I'm not into multiplayer, so I'm not interested.
Look into the multiplayer forums for more details.

It was removed from the Awards list due to complaints about how it was just a badge you signed up for, not an actual award you earned.

Not correct.
Well it means way more then to sign in for something... Unless you lie when you sign in for it... Because it has quite big meaning, the code.
And I'm happy it's there because else I would never get more then 0 awards~D

IMHO, it dosen't make much sense. you get it just by signing in? do you even need to play Online?
A better idea, IMHO, would be to give the award to players who sign the code AND play online well(And with honor of, ofcourse)

Fair enough. But you can still just sign it and then never play online, right? Does being inactive for long periods of time result in your name being taken off the list?

Yeah. Kind of like "cought keeping the code" sort of thing. That would be better. I like it fine now though!~:)

Hmmm ... not good. Not good at all. Hopefully someone intimately involved with the administration of this code will speak to this. If this is true, then perhaps the code mechanism is something worthy of open opposition.

I will admit to being a little puzzled why (if my understanding is accurate) this would be such a bad thing. Anyway, Tomi says is the Member to talk to concerning all things Code of Honor related, so I suggest you drop him a PM (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/private.php?do=newpm&u=6002) to discuss your concerns.

Tomi Says is a member of my M:TW clan, and I am aware that he is the driving force behind the CoH. I was thinking precisely of him when I posted my last. As this is a CoH thread, and the concern I expressed resulted from a post in this thread, I see no reason why an explanation should not be provided--hopefully by Tomi-sama--for all to see, and comment about if they so desire. It might generate some interesting discussion, and that's what discussion boards are for. As I see it, this is not a private concern. It potentially involves the "policing" of community members, by community members, and therefore is a community issue. That's why I chose to post what I did instead of send a PM.

I understand that, and agree that this thread is an appropriate place to discuss the issue. My primary concern was that Tomi says may not have even seen this thread and that he should been given the opportunity to respond and clarify the position for us all. What seemed, at least to me, to be private was your objections to any possible monitoring of Code signees, which is why I suggested a PM.

It would surprise me if Tomi-sama missed a "CoH" thread in the Watchtower, but your point is taken and I will see to it that this is brought to his attention.
" ... What does seem to be private is your objections to any possible monitoring of Code signees, which is why I suggested a PM."
I understood this to be your point of view, based on your previous post. I addressed this in my previous post--I beg to differ. If I end up having any objections after an explanation is given by those who administrate the CoH, you can be sure I will voice them--and they won't be sent to anyone in a PM. Again: I think it's a community issue.
EDIT: I've sent a request for comment PM to Tomi-sama, with a link, and a "cc" to you.

I signed up for the code months before we got any award on the Org. I rarely play TW multiplayer anymore, but I still occasionally do and I do not think one should be unworthy of the code simply for not playing often.

OK, but what i'm saying is that signing sometihng and then playing RTW once a month shouldn't be enough for an award.

Well, if you keep the code when you play it deserves one!~:)

A Simple Statement
Signing The Code is a pledge to be a considerate and respectful player.
It is not a claim to any status, nor is it accountable to any regulation, or authority.
Signing is a personal commitment made by each individual to do their best to behave in a decent and respectable manner.
This self accepted responsibility has been deemed to be worthy of recognition, so a little patch is added under their name to both celebrate, and remind them of their decision.
This patch, although using the same method of the Org Award system, is not listed as an Icon Badge of that system.
It is simply an acknowledgement of espoused intention, that will also hopefully encourage others to consider making the same commitment.

Excellent. For me, the key here is "personal commitment." My aforementioned concern in this thread is laid to rest.

I had signed on a couple weeks, after a little quarrel I had with another member in which we both overreacted and thought it is nice to see COH out there. Although it may or may not be enforced, the fact that we who have signed the code, have agreed as a matter of faith and on our word to agree to a set code of conduct. In that code of conduct that should be enforced by each of us; our word and personal honor is all that we have in the end.
