As a graphic designer for many years and a computer artist with a wacom tablet I would like to try my hand editing the units for each faction. Question is where do I go to find the folder they are in.

As a bod that knows a pixel from
a pickel why didn't you think of this
before.
Textures\men\any folder with a .bif _h.bif.
i.e. FullPlar.
get bifreader2.1 extreact into bmp.
Use a graphics package for the rest.
Then you can tell me all you know
about graphic desinge and artwork
on pc and will be great friends http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
Buy now no time to chat
with the likes of you,
you over qulified underworked
so and so.
Btw I'd like an elephant, a round head,
a cavalier,and some new horses http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Thanks Lord Krazy I thought it would be you I got my answer from having spent most my lunch hours reading the forum and knowing what your input is. I'm sorry it may appear a little lazinesss on my part in looking for the files but I just didn't have the time today. Thank you for the tip about bifreader2.1 but I have already taken your advice from earlier topics.
For your info I normally work with Adobe photoshop, Quarkxpress, Dreamweaver and illustrator. However I can work with most software packages. For editing I think photoshop will be my best bet. I work with both Mac and PC.
If you require any advice please don't hesitate to ask I think I owe you that for all the effort you are all making in modding this great game!

Hey Krazy,
Anyway you can mod a Spanish Canoneer like in Age of Kings ?
Basicaly its light cav with jinetes lightly armored who shoot On horseback and off. Their weapon would shoot buckshot sort of the granddaddy of the shotgun..
They wore Breastplate armor and the famous Conquistador Helmet...

Gracias Don Loco...
I'm looking forward to your new creations even more than the patch. I have not had many problems with the game so the patch is the least of my conserns. Its a great game and i hope someone comes up with some sort of Game editor that functions because I just dont have the patience to tinker and test as you and other masters moders do. I got a glimpse at the romans in your page, you should become a game developer.
Krazy !!! Looking forward to da MOD dude !!
