Jihad usage

Do all factions 'know' (i.e. are programmed) to use the jihad/crusade type units? Like lets say I reassign the jihad to the Orthodox faction will it still work?

Okay this next question is a bit embarrassing... how DO you use the jihad units? I've not really played the muslim factions and when I do play them the game somehow refuses to target (highlight) the Christian territories I want to target. Whats up with that? Please advise to jihad usage!

From page 42 of the MTW Manual -

"Only Muslim factions can launch Jihads. Jihad means 'struggle for the faith' and unlike a crusade, a Jihad cannot be used to conquer new territory. A Jihad can only be tergetted aginst a province that has been lost to the enemy - it can only be used to reconquer lost lands, not take new ones"

Right if you want to use it quickly
just take a weak region when it's yours
it's yours even if it's just for a turn
then you can bugger off let the others have
it then declare your jihad on them

Ohhhhh... okay... anyways, Im not using Jihads for the Yorkists - both sides are using Crusades now.
