Are storms at sea broken again? (RTW 1.3) [Archive]

Is anyone seeing storms at sea after the first few turns?

I haven't seen any storms at sea other than in the prologue. Are these broken again or are they just rare as hen's teeth? Back in 1.0/1.1 they didn't work after the initial reload of save. The initial campaign "schedule" for storms was not being saved, but it was fixed in 1.2. I've seen some floods and the like, and I think these are random ones. Hope storms at sea didn't get lost again.

These are effects that really add to the ambiance, so it is too bad CA doesn't "show off" this work more. The earthquake is entertaining.

Time to go edit that disasters file again...

Yeah, I've noticed there are hardly any storms anymore.

In fact, I am now at 220 BC in A Greek Cities campaign and my fleets control nearly all major ports all the way to Egypt and have not seen one storm...

I had a flood in Thracia, so they are happening, just perhaps less frequently?

Ive had flash floods, all over the map ( even Sahara IIRC...) and I've had an earthquake in Cstephion (sp?)

But never seen a storm yet.

Same here... Floods, quakes and eruptions but no storms.

Are you certain it was a storm and not a flood? I've had floods that were just offshore extending onto land...not sure what they would do to a fleet.

Come to think of it, I have never seen a storm in 1.3. I used to see them rather frequently in 1.2, though. I have never seen a flood in any of the versions. I thought they were a BI thing. ~:0

I use navies a lot in the game and found storms nearly every other turn in 1.2

Have had none in 1.3, and I control quite a lot of the ports now. Though I heard something like a storm but it was off screen in FoW. (fog of war)
I am beginning to think it was a flood somewhere and not even a storm...

I appreciate the reduction in frequency of storms from 1.2 but '0' is a bit boring...for whatever difficulty level.

Hope they get a new patch out soon : )

Hm now you mention it I havent seen one storm ~:confused: I never even noticed it, ive had earthquakes etc but not one storm on my fleets nearby or anywhere.
