Are you typing the . before and after the the word? Also some cheats like .unfreeze. did not work in version 1.0.

I generally find that a sufficient number of duelling smilies solves all my cheating problems.

You should type . at the beginig and on the end. For example .conan. if you want to play as rebels.

And i find it that drinking smilies solve my cheating problems.

Why are you limited to only 50 smilies in a message?

A post with more than 50 smilies is liable to seriously slow the computing speed of some members' machines, and that decrease in velocity would result in a disruption of the earth's regular orbit, causing us to either plummet to a fiery doom of impact with the sun, or be thrown into the cold outer reaches of the galaxy (depending on which side of the earth that member is on at the time).

Just the .org's way of looking out for the safety of mankind. Quite a benevolent gesture, actually.

And besides, if you can't say it in 50 smilies or less, it's probably not worth saying! ~;)

Hmmmm I did try typing . before the words and still nothing. (What does .unfreeze. do?) I'm just wondering if maybe I'm typing them on the right screen or not cause when I type them I can't actually see the words I'm typing. Problem no? I'm typing them on the campaign map but no cursor or nuttin'.:eeeek:

m52nickerson

What version of the game do you have? I think .unfreeze. only works if you have the VI add on.

I hate smilies, thats why a shot this ones mom.~:mecry:

I've got the Battle pack edition the one the one that comes with both the original and VI included. Not sure of the version #.

m52nickerson
11-07-2005, 05:27
Well if you have VI installed .unfreeze. should work. After you type it in the next year your king should produce a male heir. It shoulds like you are doing every thing right.

If you've got the period both before and after the cheat, no spaces, and you're typing it into the campaign map (which it sounded like you are) it should work. You won't see a cursor or the words you type so that's not the problem. Are you sure you're getting both periods? Otherwise I can't think what it could be.

Yeah. Those smilies sure can slow down my machine.

You should try an instant cheat, like .matteosartori. .the second you type it whole map is revealed, you don't have to end turn.

[QUOTE=(What does .unfreeze. do?) [/QUOTE]

.unfreeze. - new son born at the end of the year
.deadringer. - 1,000,000Fl. (yes, that's a million!)
.worksundays. - every building constructed in one year (unit's not affected)
.matteosartori. - reveal whole map
.conan. - play as rebels
.nuttermode. - very difficult I believe
.kidsmode. - very easy i believe

And there's sounds that go with each cheat:
Unfreeze: The lute sound that you hear for princesses marrying.
Deadringer: Money sound
Worksundays: Building sound
matteosartori: ?
conan: ?
nuttermode: ?
kidsmode: ?

Anyway, with worksundays, your building queues must be empty when you do it for it to work-- then you put a building in the building cue, and sometimes the next turn it's built. (Some factor makes it so it doesn't always work, but I played around with it for a while before going back to my non-cheating ways.)

Well I'll try it again tonight, if I can distract my other half for a few hours. Trying to lead the Aragonese and it's proving difficult and a little uninteresting. (Not enough unique units) Of course the past 3 campaigns I ran was as the turks so i guess it's not a good comparison. JHI's are WAY too powerful but they're friggin awesome. I made 120 garrisson a fortress in Georgia and hold it off against 15,000 of the golden horde. And they won. Over 8,000 Mongols dead and just under half the JHI's to tell thier grandchildren the story.

What was their resulting valor?

dgfred

The only one I ever like is the 'see entire map' one ~ , it makes for
some interesting sights and you can tell more stories than just your own
nations. ~;)

@grond
the sound to .matteosartori. is the sound the emissary makes when proposing an alliance. the .conan. sound is the rebellion sound. the .nuttermode. is the sound of the dying king (the low thud etc.) and .kidsmode. is the same as .unfreeze.

hope it helps~;)

Well one unit lost 39 men. But they gained 3 valour. (they were already at 3 due to the 6 star ghulam general who was also garissoned) The only reason they lost so many is because I ordered them to charge the MHC after they broke down the first gate, and instead of holding thier ground, the mongols slowly fell back but they gave the other units in the 800 something men in the first wave enough time to reinforce them. The JHI's were soon surrounded but they kept going, actually pushing the horde back! Finally the Golden general fell, and they broke and ran. In the end that one unit of JHI's killed like 438 men, and 11 survived. I pulled them back into the core of the fortress and put my other 60 at the entrance. From then on the Horde only attacked with one unit at a time. If they attacked with cavalry I charged the JHI's and massacered them until they fled, usually with 3/4 of thier numbers(due to low morale) and if infantry attacked I charged with my ghulams, they ended up gaining 2 morale as well as the JHI's. In the end I practicly crushed the mongol's hope for invasion, as they never assembled more than a 2 stack army in any province. (I was also ready to train JHI's in Byzantium and Rum by 1178. But couldn't~:mecry: )

The Aragonese are hard. To make them more interesting I'd recommend modding Almughavars to be trainable in Aragon, not just bought as mercenaries. They're your one real unique unit as Aragon, and since Aragon is usually my most developed province it doesn't attract mercenaries very well. Before making the modification I'd never fought with them, but they're pretty good javelineers, especially with the armor & weapon upgrades you can build in Aragon.

what happens in nutter mode?

Yoyoma1910
11-08-2005, 07:54
I believe the term "Nutter" comes from an American Slang term which describes getting kicked in the male gonads, or "Nuts" as they are also sometimes refered to as. In some cultures the term would be "Eggs," but I don't think the term translates well into phrases such as: "Watch out bra, it's a real egger."

Under the effects of the "Nutter" mode, the game is considered to be more difficult, because the AI will not ally with you under any circumstances... at least none I can think of bra, which makes it a real nutter if you ask me, cause, you know, I like to run with my daw~:pimp:gs.

there are more:

.mefoundsomeau.-gold appears in all of your provinces
.mefoundsomeag.-same with silver
.viagra. (I think)-iron apperars in all of your provinces so you can build metalsmiths everywhere

Yoyoma1910

Also .mefoundsomecu. for copper in every province,
and .badgerbunny. to unlock all buildings, in case you want to build whatever you want, when you want.

I kind of wish there were one for salt in every province. Thatway I could act out the role of the grand emperor whose greatest gift to the world is improve the culinary well being of his populations, especially the Brits and their boiled mutton pies with parsley sauce, and those troublesome scots... with their boiled haggis (stuffed stomach of mutton) and whatever sauce they use on that. Ich.

It gives you the least profit and thats probably why the salt cheat isn't included. It may exist but we just don't know about it.

Don't know if it exists or not, and I can't check it now, but I would assume the salt cheat would be ".mefoundsomenacl.", since NaCl is the chemical notation for salt (sodium chloride). This would fit with elemental notations Au (gold), Ag (silver), and Cu (copper). Maybe just the "na" part, who knows...

Na means natrium. And your example is quite good. Who knows maybe it works. I'll try it later.

Tried the cheats and they.........drumroll worked!!!! Played the turks in high on expert, no cheats except 2 extra heirs. Everything was going great. Had Byzantium by 1218, and everything all the way to Rum. Left Georgia as a buffer for the horde. But as 1230 comes about, three different hordes appeared. One in Volga Bulgaria, One in Khazaar, and one in Armenia. And all of them between 25,000 to 30,000 strong. I removed all but 100 Saracens from Armenia, and forced them to lay seige. The battle was epic, but short. It was a losing battle all the way. And after 10 years of intense fighting, I was down to Constantople, Rum and Anatolia. I decided to badgerbunny and deadringer it, just to get back to my feet, but the damn eggies betrayed me and took rum, I invaded greece with a ton of mercenaries, but in the end it fell to the Hungarians and all I was left with was Constantinople, a handful of JHI with gold weapons and armor, and 5-7 stack armies from 3 different factions just itching to invade. I decided to surrender, to the eggies of course, so at least a fellow Muslim would reign in the Medittereanen.~:mecry: ~:mecry: ~:mecry: ~:mecry: ~:mecry: ~:mecry: ~:mecry: ~:mecry: ~:mecry: ~:mecry: ~:mecry:
