So, convince me why I should embrace your belief system.
Give me a logical and convincing argument why your particular existential perspective is the correct one.
Seriously.

That probably would have worked better than the old “or burn in hell” line. ~;)

What I gathered from reading too much Nietzsche is that you should create your own belief system and hold it for yourself only. Sharing it will only lead to problems.
EDIT: Creating your own doesn't mean combining a lot of other ones into a main one. It means going from the basics and building up to create something original.

There is no god. Become Athiest and concentrate on improving yourself and others around you in the material world, rather than just to score points for the afterlife. :tongueg:

Genes and memes these are the themes that thou shall follow to be an immortal fellow.
Don't just concentrate on what you are today, think about you can create that will last beyond yourself.
The world is unfair, that is our oppourtunity.
Every time we do a good deed that is a single drop in a land that needs an ocean of positive change.
Once we create a fairer idea through charity or law we create a stream of good deeds.
If you can leave behind a mechanism that creates good deeds then I say that is a life well spent.

The Holy Church of the Sun Koyote, members 2. We believe that a gigantic Koyote lives in the Sun, and he is God. Why would he live in the Sun you ask? So he can control it, for the Sun is the giver of life and destroyer of worlds. If you convert, then i'll tell you the basic rules of the religion and how to worship.

Well this thread is taking a huge dump. Ask a stupid question (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=56631).
Well, DA, a real conversion is messy at best. There's more to a religion than an ideal; it's part of a culture and is only changed or separated with much difficulty. Besides, you asked no specific question. "If a man does not know where he sails, no wind is favourable."

Become a traditionalist catholic and not only dissent from the modern church (for being too liberal), but also be able to declare a crusade and retake the Holy Land! Huzzah!
Though I'm thinking of giving up on Catholicism after something Mr. Pope-Nazi just did.
Anyone too lazy to do some honest research (a thread on the Org is not research) on the most commonly held belief systems to figure out if any of them work for him probably isn't serious enough to actually join any of them with any degree of sincerity.

Religions, doctrine, and scripture are just clutter. They are distractions from the simplicity of the Tao. There is nothing to believe in, not even the Tao. There is only what's all around you all the time. It all lies before you and requires no religious explanation or scientific proof to understand. And it exists whether you believe it or not, or whether you exist or not.
I would try to convert you to my political views, but I have to finish making a drum.

Do you mind my asking what he did?Could only be one thing. Pope has defended Darwin, saying creationism is a silly excess of fundamentalism.
Excuse me.
It's true, too. Mwahahahahahahahahhaaaaaa!!!! ~D
Life is only chemistry. There is no supernatural. There is nothing special about humans. We are completely insignificant and have no purpose. There is no afterlife, no destiny, no divine.

I encourage you to become a Christian. I would suggest reading some of C.S. Lewis's books on Christianity as one way to begin. Another would be going to a local church and talking with the priest/minister.

why would I, thou are free to believe whatever you want
If there is a god, it is so infinately superior and more complex than us that it is as likely to care about what we do as a bunch of helium atoms bouncing off each other in a remote red nebular in the southern end of galaxy C3182.
Religion and belief is just romantic mood music for life. Choose your own records and dance however you like.
So, convince me why I should embrace your belief system.
Give me a logical and convincing argument why your particular existential perspective is the correct one.
Seriously.
No one can convince you of anything; everything, always is only ever your own decision. To state you convinced someone or were convinced by someone is totally wrong, you only ever convince yourself. Even if someone 'convinced' you with a gun to your head, you still decide to follow what they say on your own free will.

Nice analogy.~
Life is only chemistry. There is no supernatural. This is a fair assessment thus I agree.
There is nothing special about humans. I disagree with this one. We are highly ordered; that makes us very special.
We are completely insignificant and have no purpose. Compared to the rest of the universe, yes. It's the ultimate paradox: the farther we move away from earth, the less significant we become. We are significant on Earth though
There is no afterlife, no destiny, no divine.

I don't think that there is much that i could say that would just instantly convert you, you have to want to be converted, you can't be forced in to any religion.
The best argument for any religion is seeing how the followers live, whether they are kind hearted helpful and happy etc. unfortunately many people have stereotypical views of religion.
If you are seroiusly interested in takeing up christianity i would suggest visiting you local church or just talking with any christians you might know about it.
If you can find one, try out an alpha course.
I can tell you that it has offered me and many of the christians I know an awful lot. A good church is kinda like an extended family they help and support you.
Crazy rabit is right, CS lewis's books are very good, Even the narnia books have a lot of religion in them.
