Kinda seems ironic some people would prefer Tehran over Tel-Aviv (or Iran over Isreal), but i have a feeling iranians are the most nationalistic in the middle east.

Iran is a beautiful place however, lots of UAE citizens visit iran yearly, despite both our governments having problems.

If a middle eastern Mulsim were to walk the streets of anywhere, USA he would be safe.

If I were to walk the streets of Tehran, I would fear for my life.

Israel has become a very different society in the past twenty five years, and so has Iran. Let us hope this window of opportunity stays open so people can continue to chose for themselves.

Crazed RabbitSo what have you got against Russians? ~

Seriously, this is a thread about Jews in Iran and Israel. Not muslims in the United States or something. Why troll a perfectly legit thread?

Not according to studies published dealing with racist/religeous attacks , though the increase in the US is smaller (percentage wise) than that in Canada or Britain .

Back to topic , A lot of what the Iranian migrants complain about is due to many factors , heavy immigration without a corresponding expansion in the economy to accomodate it , together with problems integrating all the different cultures that the immigrants bring , plus the severe drain on the economy due to the ongoing trouble . Then there are many issues between the Sephadic and Askar....well you know what I mean .

And just how frequent did the study say such things were? Exceedingly rare, I'd say.

DA was pointing out the Iran isn't as great as the article makes it out to be.

Crazed RabbitThe article I read says that Iranian Jews are going back because life in Tel Aviv is even worse. This despite the threats of Iranian officialdom. That is remarkable, and it probably demonstrates what Faisal said about Iranian nationalism.

I won't dispute the nationalism, but I take this article with a grain of salt in regards to how many people are actually going back to Iran, and their reasons. After all, the first guy mentioned was heavy economic trouble. I also won't dispute that it's natural for people to want to go back to their homeland, but I will say that newspapers everywhere will take a few instances from across the country and say there's a trend going on.

But why would an Israeli newspaper that usually takes a hardline stance be publishing articles about it ?~
