Okay it is not the definitive work on a subject, but it does provide a good primer. I use it to get the basic jist of an idea. What do you think of it?

Pretty good - not great, but pretty good.

Interesting, especially some of the more critical comments about hard-coding and limitations.

The links to Shogun and Medieval are also fairly accurate.

I just went back to check on something and there's no mention that I can find about MP. There's a single sentence about MP under the Medieval entry, but I don't see any mention of online play under Rome.

Very interesting

Wiki in general is very good. You just have to be careful that you don't take what it says as gospel. There are some entries in it that are strongly politically biased, as you'd expect when contributions are open to anyone.

Edit: I would describe that RTW entry as an exercise in overkill! And the writer still hardly managed to mention the game flaws or the ahistoricity. Does a PC game deserve an entry in an encyclopaedia anyhow? Only on the internet, LOL.

The strongest archers in the game are the Pharaoh's Bowmen, and even the basic bowmen units, available from the beginning of the game, come in groups of 240; the only archers in the game not to come in groups of 160, giving them a nearly insurmountable advantage against even the high-class archers of other factions.

~ Apparently someone has been playing on something other than the default army size. Not very good if you want to write a review.

Also, why is this not in the Colosseum?

It was about Wiki in general and contained a reference to RTW as everyone should be able to judge the accuracy of that content and use it as an indication of the use of Wiki in other subjects they do not know.

Also I got that link because when I was looking up Phalanx Formations (trying to figure out what a group of Necrons should be called) ... the wiki link had a RTW picture.

I find that Wiki front page news, while a good read, is often bombarded by stupid people who want to ruin the information (https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v288/kekvitirae/panam.jpg).
Can you spot the idiot's work in this picture?

Butt sex: exactly what wiki needs; a break from all the learning fun. I don't see the problem ~:joker:

That's funny, since one of the "did you know's" on the main page a few weeks ago was about strap ons ~:)
