Happy Thanksgiving!!!
This thread is to tell everyone what you are thankful for. Whether its your health, fortunes, or the fact that my existence has made your life complete!!! Just thought I'd put this in the backroom so that others can either give praise to the holiday or just blast it with your typical rants about Thanksgiving and holidays as such remind you of the beginnings of alleged genocide of the Noth American natives. So please praise or blast away...

What's Devdav thankful for? Well, let me count the blessings...
First, I give thanks that the good Lord is good to me and my family.
Second, I'm thankful for being born in the greatest country in the world.
Third, that Kerry didn't get elected.
Fourth, that I've not been drunk for about 6 months now.
fifth, that the old lady is working again and the bank account doesn't look so empty.
Sixth, I'm out of the Air Force and actually have the holiday off!!!
And last but not least, for all you guys, which I consider my friends even if most of you still have not grasped the fact that I'm always right and that one day you will all look back and say to yourselves, "man, DevDav was right, what a wise and caring guy."

I love you guys, Happy Thanks giving!!!~D

We will probably do the whole thing Sunday when the weather is better.~:)

Its real windy (drifts guaranteed:charge:) and we already have a good 6” of snow with more on the way! We get a lot of odd weather because of all the lake effect temps.Yeah Michigan! If you don’t like the weather today wait until tomorrow it will be completely different.~D

Naaasss. My Thanksgiving has been over and done with for more than a month, now (silly American long growing season), but I'm sure my household will tune into some Yankee football anyway.

I'm thankful that I'll be slipping into a turkey coma about this time tomorrow.

I'm also pretty chuffed that two of my three courses this semester are basically over (1 presentation left).

Sadly my other course has some lectures left and a lab that was due today (but is yet to be completed).

I'm also thankful because I'm having a night of drunken debauchery on Saturday.

A warm and enjoyable Thanksgiving to all Organisms. May your bellies be filled with fine foods and beverages, your eyes with beautiful surroundings and friendly faces, your ears with the sounds of mirth, music, and pleasant conversation, and your Soul with a spirit of gratitude, and charity.

I'm thankful to have lived another year, and to have been of significant use to good friends of mine.

I am thankful that after my wife had some very minor surgery on her hand for carpel tunnel - she decided to recover at her mom's house over thanksgiving and left me at home to remodel the bathroom and paint it before she gets home Sunday.

Good thing I have been working on it since last Saturday. I should make the time limit she set and still be able to pick her up at the airport.

Alas no turkey for me - maybe some good old steak on the grill.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

The state has been getting lake effect snow all day today. There's about 3 inches on the ground, and more will come tonight. My family sold the Chevy Suburban, so we won't be traveling up north. I bet there's a good few folks that have skidded off the roads out there.

A classic part of Thanksgiving is watching the Detroit Lions go up against one of the hottest teams out there. This year it's Atlanta. If Atlanta struggles, the game might actually be close for a quarter or two. Maybe I'll get to watch T.J. Duckett in a few plays.

Happy Thanksgiving, yanks!

So, are any of you going to be deep-frying your freezer-eagles this year, or are you all going with the traditional roasted bird for dinner?

Who loves Michigan weather?!?!? I DO!

Anyways, my dad's boss invited my family to eat thanksgiving with him and his wife up at his country club. Should be interesting to say the least.

Happy Thanksgiving Day for all those who celebrate it.. If I knew how to cook a turkey, I'd make myself a delicious meal as well and join your fun.

Redleg, I wish your wife is doing well.

Yep - she is getting wonderful care from her mother - and her sister will be cooking Thanksgiving dinner for the family - all in Kansas. While I am stuck in Texas having to remodel the bathroom.

But the upside is I won't gain a lot of weight at the start of the holiday season. ~;p

Fried turkey???

Grandpa's going to get some nice stuffing (apple, chestnuts, wheat bread) in our turkey, perfectly roasted, some goose, and so many other delicious things! That's what I'm thankful for, and the brandy old-fashioned that comes after the meal.~:)
