I have been drinking quite a lot lately, and I have found a favourite in Jasmin from China. It actually relaxes, a very mild high if you want. Great before you go to sleep.

I drink a double espresso coffee in the morning, with milk. I need the extra kick it offers, as I'm an old man and my engine takes stronger fuel to rev up.
I drink Bigelow Constant Comment (English-style tea with Orange rind, my Dutch/Irish grandmother's favorite, which hence became one of mine), or Earl Gray in the afternoons, or sometimes Jasmine if I want something lighter, flowery and sweet.
At night I drink a big mug of Japanese green tea, usually just some cheap Genmai (brown rice) cha. Great antioxidants, and it reminds me of my Japanese mum.
Edit: I neglected to mention that on special occasions I'll pull out my stash of East-Indian-style Chai, loaded with interesting spices. I boil it in water, reduce to a simmer for a while to bring out all the subtle flavors, and then add some honey and about a third as much whole milk (the most common ratio is half and half, but I like a stronger chai flavor). I really enjoy Chai.

A full cafettiere of extra strength black coffee - always handy, if not a pint of espresso. Of course, no sugar or milk - that's just silly.
Tea on the other hand - Indian, take a dash of milk, or maybe a slice of lemon (depending on how I'm feeling). Chinese - well, as is of course.

I like a cup of tetleys, with a bit of milk in it. And i love how the Americans have half a billion different types of tea. My parents went to San Francisco, and when they ordered tea, they had to go through an entire page of paper looking for normal tea, which was under the label of 'breakfast tea'.
- Thea is for fags, I only drink cappuchino
Let us abstain from using comments, ironic though they may be, that impart an insulting, if not hateful tone.
For my part, I drink tea by the gallon. All kinds. Thyme tea is great for the lungs when a cold or flu hits, though it tastes like a cup of hot dirt. You learn to like it. I prefer strong dark teas but still enjoy all the funky and fruity ones.

Tea is the best drink to be addicted to, me thinks. The ordinary black tea is counted to be one of the 14 food/drinks that you should never forget taking completely..
Well I don't mind whoever believes such crap news told us everyday but the only reason drink tea is I love it.. Pretty surprising, eh ?

I'm sure there exists a woman somewhere who drinks the stuff, but I've never met her.
Lapsang Souchong is to Lipton's as espresso is to Folger's. Orders of magnitude stronger, with a lingering smokey taste.
It makes me think of end-of-the-day campfires after ascending one's favorite Himalyan mountain.

Actually, the word tea/chai/te/tai is quite fashinating.
In England they call it tea in scandinavia te (pronounced somewhat similar) in Egypt they call it /don't know the spelling/ but it sounds like a mix of chai and tea, in Nepal they call it Chai and at Hokkien it is called te
The word is clearly the same almost everywhere, which I think if cool - not the tea tho, I hate ice tea

Really? It makes ME think of bicycle inner tubes and kippers that are several days past their best...
PG Tips for me. These fancy teas are all very well (I mean ones that actually are tea), but its good old English tea that made Britain great. That's a man's drink.

Mrs ichi doesnt allow me to drink coffee around the house, only tea with honey in it. When she's not looking I go to Starbucks and get a latte with lots of sugar. She says coffee makes me too 'intense'

Doesn't anyone here drink real coffee anymore?
I mean buying whole beans, grinding them manually with
a coffee grinder and brewing them slowly through a filter?
That's the stuff if you want a real strong coffee.
Btw, Espresso is the one with the lowest amount of caffeine, iirc.

Might be a language or cultural problem here, but Ouzo is an aniseed based drink ...think 'Pernod, Ricard, Sambuca'....whereas Raki/Chipero is a distilled spirit made from cheap wine and rubbish grapes...and like I said...
