There I was, just having come out of my Physics classroom, walking aimlessly to the place where I and my friends stand about during interval, when the rain started. Or so I thought...
On closer inspection, it was moving oddly, white, and not rain. Then, it dawned on me...

It was the First Snow of the Winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a short flurry, but the snow started again at lunch for an hour or so! And I have been singing Let it Snow and White Christmas ever since!

Hopefully more snow tonight and tomorrow, but we shan't have the schools closed, since the Director of Education is stingy and only closes them if the buses in the city centre have stopped...

Looks like it is going to hit us as well tonight. We had a rediculously wonderfull fall, 26 degrees in early november! Winter is finally banging at our gates, and I will get depressed like I always get without sun ~:mecry:

Just rain here. Except for a small, rapidly melting, drift outside my front door, bizzarely.

Damn my freezing house!

Snow is beautiful in small doses, but a major pain in the arse if you are responsible for keeping your driveways and homes clear of it, or if you are relegated to public transportation, cycling, and lots of walking (i.e. you choose not to drive). I grew up in Sacramento, where I can only remember it snowing enough to make a (feeble) snowman once in my entire life. I spent last winter in Reno, and experienced one of that town's nastier snowbound winters. Man, I did NOT enjoy it; frankly, it SUCKED. Now in New Jersey, I'm bracing myself, as I've been told it snows here a lot in winter also. At least here there will be one other able-bodied man who can help keep the driveway and homestead clear of it. The wife has plenty to do inside, and the kids are all under age six and won't be of any use.

I will be happier when I can relocate to a place where snow isn't so prevalent in winter time. I'll be content to visit pretty winter wonderlands when I choose to, and then go home to a warmer, dryer environment.

Got a couple inches here in mass, awesome.

I always thought shoveling the driveway was kinda fun ~:)

I can't say that I have ever experienced the joy (or otherwise) of shovelling my driveway, since Dundee City Council provides large Grit boxes at the end of most streets for people to go and take some grit from for pavements, roads, driveways, et cetera.

Most local councils are courteous enough to do that. There's one about 100 meters from my house, and more than a dozen scattered throughout the village. Anyway, the snow completely missed inland parts of the country, and only hit the coast. I guess i'm going to have to wait till early January for the snow, as usual.

lol, the isle of man hardly ever gets snow, about one day a year, but tomorrow looks like its gonna be that day :)
Seriously, a centimeter of snow falls and the whole island stops, its great!

It began to snow earlier on during biology class, but only tiny little crystals which melted as soon as they hit the ground. There is meant to be snow tonight, but the wind has blown the sky clear of cloud.
The heating still doesn't bloody well work, so I have built a fire in readiness for tomorrow.

We don't have much snow here, at least not in this early months of winter. ~:mecry: Just a bit in januar, februar I think... Quite a pity. Though I do go on ski holidays sometimes.

We had our first considerable snowfall last night. It'd been snowing very lightly before then, the kind where you can only see it fall in the headlights of a car passing by. I'm glad it's finally here.

No snow here as of yet, although I got its smell a couple of times. (Don't believe the TV, where they call Istanbul have nothing to do with her, being pseudo-satellites kilometres away.) Last year this time everywhere was white.

Izmir rarely gets a snowfall. It was once in 2001 -after around 30 years time- a hard snowfall that screwed whole city's transportation network. I was barely able to go back to my home city Aydin which was only 1 hour away.

The snow itself - well I like it very much when it rains or snows.

Well it did actually snow here last, leaving a thick white blanket which covered the fields, the roads and the rooftops. But it's a sunny day, with clear blue skies, so the snow is melting rather quickly. But it was quite a beautiful site seeing a mountain (the Saleve, an ancient, quite low mountain, but still very impressive because of it's more like a huge cliff) outside of Geneva covered in snow with the yellow light of the sun shining on it.

It snowed briefly today. Apart from that I got soaked and damn near blown off my bike whilst cycling to and from school. On the plus side, the wind was so strong I hardly had to peddle when going to school.

It has stopped snowing here in Vermont, but we still have a few inches. Unfortunately that's not nearly enough to get us out of school.

Looks like snow is putting up some hell of a chaos in other parts of Europe.
In summer it was heatwaves, now it`s big amounts of snow.

Whilst you were onlooking this fantastic view, I hope you didn't eat the 'apparently' yellow-looking snow?! Sorry, couldn't resist ~D

Used to love the snowball fights at school and in public. One of the teachers got a right pelting from loads of kids the once, he had a tantrum and went a bit hyper.

Had a few snowball fights in the town as well, plenty of innocent bystanders have been hit by more than one stray shots ~D
