Hey all I love total war but I want to try a real time strategy game. I played age of empires, age of mythology, and stuff like that and they were good but whjat about this game rise of nations? I hear it has awesome multi-player and is much much better than AoE III. So is it worth buying?

I bought Rise Of Nations shortly after it's release and played it none stop for about three days. But unfortunatly after those three days things got incredibly...boring to say the least. There just wasn't enough it it to be honest, sure you could play the skirmish mode but even throughout the ages everything felt the same.

However you can pick up a copy in almost any game store very cheap so I would suggest you give it a try. ~:)

Rise of Nations plays essentially like AoE, but over the entire lenght of history. This means: much more research, many more resources, many more units (at least: more upgrades and a smaller but well-balanced unit choice). There were a few points I disliked (like how much time it took me to capture a settlement), but otherwise I enjoyed playing it very much. However, it does get a bit repetitive after a while.

There is a demo, so you can try it out before buying it.

no you don't not any more, just try it.

works like the other spellcheck programm, only this one has a slightly better interface, and at first glance, more options too.

I haven't downloaded any thing to use it

Downloaded anything, no? If I click it I get redirected to http://www.iespell.com/download.php. You probably got it installed on your pc already.

That is strange, I swear I have not donwloaded that programm...I plainly refused to DL the programm for the sake of a spell check, figured I could do without.

Still it is working, strange that you haven't got it working.

Any other people have this problem.

ok thankyou I just wanted to know. Sorry if I got the forums mixed up. I'm kinda a newbie here like someone said before.~:)


Its just that RTW did not have a multiplayer mode with campaign map.

That bothered me alot. I think you should be able to have multiplayer campaign mape and save it. Then you and your freind could rejoin it and choose whichever empire you wanted to be from where you saved.
