yay, i lost my job too, yay. its the day b4 thanksgivin and my boss calls me saying i have to come in at that very moment when i never work and happen to be at my friends house. anyway long story short i hung up the phone walked over and continued to BS wit my buddies, so i'm fired...oh well i was thinkin of quitin anyways, my bosses were a bunch of jerks.
oh yeah and the X over cheyney is free speech, just because they work for the company does not mean they should not be entitled to an opinion and i think it is disgracful that the person should be fired for simply showing his views.

Media bias, hell- this is media SANITY! ~:joker:
Still not my favorite moment on news TV- that would have to be when someone snuck into a Rumsfeld conference and hollered, "MR. RUMSFELD, YOU'RE FIRED!" I didn't stop laughing for five minutes afterwards.

Oddly, people from Fox don't get fired when they say a lot of crap.
Oh wait, they all say a lot of crap 24/7. I guess we can't fire them all, heh ? ~

That would be like trying to "clean house" at Pravda. ~:joker:
does sep 30th count as the holiday, on 9-30 of this year, i was told that after 15 years of loyalty to the company, my services were no longer required..guess i should have learned my own rules "dont argue with bosses daughter"..
a small taste of revenge for me though is, i took my four oldest clients with me to my new job... they accounted for about 35% of the companies yearly sales..

Now that is justice - I guess that will teach them to have a clause in the contract that states you can't take clients with you when you leave the company.
Good to hear that you got another job fairily quick.

CNN is supposed to be a non-biased news source, such things only bring to light what they really are (i.e. Propaganda Herr Göbbels would be proud of!) :duel:

Pretty much fits the bill for any network news station doesnt it? All of their 24hr coverage is sensationalist garbage.

the truly funny part of it red, is they tried to get me to sign one, after, thats right after they had fired me, took my keys and cards and such.. all i could do was laugh, you know the kind of laugh when you see something of such gross stupidity that all you can do is chuckle and shake youre head..
my accounts are what got me my new job so fast, i get a kick on the look on the interviewers face when he asks me what i can do for his company and i tell him upon my hiring, he'll gain approx 9.3 million a year in sales. he excused himself for a moment, and ten minutes later they offered me a job that is 15k a year higher than their average pay for that position.
Great to hear from you again Jay? Are you coming out to St Louis anytime soon? I still owe you a drink...
sorry m8, not for a while now, the last time through was a fubar, i felt pretty bad about missing you, but the three days i had planned for screwing around went bye bye, when my uncles cancer went into the final stages, and i had to fly to dallas

Opps - you can't prevent the fire after you already lit it. I bet they are kicking themselves in the head for that move.

no, not yet, i took my accounts which were our oldest, i signed these people like 10 to 14 years ago.
the only three they have left that are worth a damn are bids, ones due up in spring, the other is due the following years, and the third will be awarded this march.
most of my petty bitterness will come from not doing anything to them, but what i wont be doing for them.
the two biggies right now are from emails i got from people used to deal with for my former company.
1st the heath inspector emailed me and thanked me for getting the revisions for our produce/meat/dairy inspection process in to him early so he could make his kids college graduation, an to tell me hed see my shortly after thanksgiving, his way of telling me roughly when our suprise inspection would occur. i replied about the situtation and asked if he wanted me to forward it to my replacement he said no, hed just suprise them, and when i saw him testerday at my new job, we talked for about 20 min and he seemed pretty upset at them, and i suggested he make sure to check out suite 122 in the complex, which is never checked because its rented to the son in law of the owner and not officially attached to the company. but thats where the store everything they dont want inspectors to see.. so my update next week should be interesting..
2nd they havent gotten the fire marshal his information as to upgrades to the structure, new employees, and the sprinkle system installed a few months ago, these were all due to him 3 weeks ago, i actually called my old boss and told her to get it done, and that she dont wanna screw around with the fire marshal, the general attitude from the is eh what are they gonna do... the fire marshal can shut you down with no notice if they feel there is a danger up here, and not giving him information he has asked for is grounds from what he said.
a few other dept they'll have problems with..
osha
military inpectors
hazmat
maintenance both building and vehicles
freezer and coolers
why, because i was the only one there who bothered to take the time to learn the rules and regulations, as well as physically inspect all our equipment on site, i can t picture the current warehouse mgr doin it, he never cared enough to do it right in the first place, thats why i did it.
i figure give them enough time and rope, and they'll hang themselves, thats my little revenge as it were, they'll go under and it will all be of thier own doing, i get a little smug satisfaction at the idea of that.

The key to business success is to make a little niche for yourself, a little fortress, and slowly tack on defenses over the years. Make yourself indispensable. And when your boss finally decides that you are dispensable and sends the bulldozers over, he ends up running into a walled presidio rather than a rickety shack. Nice. ~

sad state of affairs at least in my neck of the woods, is i never planned it that way, no one else would bother to learn it, and the manual i wrote on how to do most of these things was in the boxes of personal belongings i picked up.
to be honest id never buy the company outright, theres to much debt attached to it, instead i'm planning on buying most of the equipment that will be available at buckling time, the current list is 2 semis, 1 box truck, 4 trailers, 3 electric forklifts, 2 electric pallet jacks, the mainframe, the scales, and pallet wrap machines.. i bid out and bought most of these items, so i know what their worth, and short of running sugar through the gas tanks, they cant do any serious damage to them in the next year...then ill lease out some warehouse space, maybe theirs if im so inclined and begin building my own company, the only partner im willing to take with me is my wife, and my best friend if he gets of his ass, and gives me a decision... ive known him for 32 of my 34 years of life, and i trust him.
