View Full Version : Born Middle-aged
When I was in the middle of an Alemanni campaign. One of my generals came of age. I thought nothing of it as I had many children coming of age, but I went to view the family tree later on. To my surprise my new general was older than his father! His dad was 38, but he was 42! Has anyone else encountered this?

This has happened to me as well, there are two things that I can think of.
1. That the son was adopted.
2. That playing as a horde faction (I know it doesn't apply here.)
That new family members are recruited, when you going into a horde with very
few family members. ex:entering horde on the first turn.

this sort of thing was not unusual in STW either, with very good generals being adopted as heirs despite being older than their 'fathers'. i suppose in a society where the ability to fight was paramount and people tended to die young, you'd want a decent general to succeed you if you could make the choice...
