I've never played vanilla since I bought the battle pack and upgraded to VI immediatley.

For the first, as far as I know (Ludens will probably be along to correct me ~;) ), GA goals are hard coded. Even those clever people over in the mod centre haven't been able to add goals.

As for the other, maybe it's a bug that was fixed in a patch?

MTW had faulty GA system and was fixed with VI.

I still play vanilla and hadn't noticed any problems with GA except for a glitch
in the crusade points- but that can be fixed with some fancy maneuvering~D .

~:) No, you are completely right. It is impossible to add goals. However, you can edit them (to some extent).

CA knows, but they are not telling. I assume they forgot or couldn't get it to work. They are still malfunctioning in VI 2.01.

In VI some goals have preconditions that need to be met before they appear as goals, and those conditions might only be met in 1 in 10,000 games (thats another 2 years for me). It may be that Vanilla has some of the same type of goals.
