Hey,

I'm relatively new to the forum to I apologise if this has been previously discussed.

I was thinking, people still buy Rome: Total War in pretty large quantities (On Play.coms PC sales which is updated daily it is ranked fifth, fifth and it is up against brand new games!). Now not everyone will have the internet. So when somebody buy a brand new copy of RTW why dont they get it prepatched with the latest patch?

Just a thought...

This kind of thing only happens when a game is considered unplayable and an enormous amount of people is complaining in very loud voices, or if it is for a collecter's edition. Basically, it means publishers have to restart production, which is something that requires quite a bit of organization (I think). Also, patch 1.3 has been developed under SEGA, so I don't think Activision is interested in taking responsibility for it.
