I'm not sure if anyone experienced or figured some of these out, but here are a few things:

1.) Recently, an Egyptian diplomat came to me and asked me to be a protectorate when I was playing as Numidia. The text that he used to ask me said this: "The Pharoah has declared that all your bases are belong to us." I found that funny!

2.) There is a province called Locus Gepidae. The settlement there is called Domus Dulcis Domus, which is Latin for "Home sweet home." I found that amusing. Now, if I could just translate the province name. I'm not sure what Gepidae means, but it looks like the genitive case, and locus means "place." So, it's the "place of Gepida." I think it would be ven more humourous if that was the name of one of the developers of RTW and Domus Dulcis Domus was where his home was actually located :san_wink:

So, what funny things have you guys found?

Locus Gepida means home of the Gepids. They were a tribe in northern Europe, IIRC. At the extreme north end of the map, east of Locus Gepida, there is the hidden city of Themiskyra (in the province is Hyperborea ~D ). You need to cross two rivers and several forrests, and then you will meet the Hidden Amazon Warriors in their fearsome chariots. Do not venture there without a decent army (or better yet, have a spy/diplomat scout the place out).

When you type in 'elephaunt' in the console window, you will get a unit of Yubtseb elephants from the black land of "Gnitekram" ( ~;) ) .

There is also a lot of humour in the general's speeches and traits. The insane/deranged generals get terrific speeches and their trait descriptions are hilarious as well. ("There are those who say that this man gibbers like a deranged rock ape. The rock apes will take offence at this slur.") Another area for silly humour are the ancillaries. What about an evil mother-in-law (sadly the trigger for this one malfunctions, but it is present in the files), a senatorial horse, a "Tender of the Arse" and, worst of all, an inflatable sheep.

How do you get the "elephaunt" thing to work? I tried it on the campaign map, in a campaign battle, and a custom single-player battle; does it only work for BI or something?

Type "oliphaunt" into RomeShell, on the campaign map.

Except for the Lesbian rebels not much, well perhaps when asking for a ceasefire and the enemy wants you to give up 2-3 settlements you have payed for in blood.
