And that they sent pipers into battle in the Second World War, with the recent song about the piper on the beaches at D-Day -- Link (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/devon/4534074.stm)
Pipers are still technically sent into battle, but as Medics (Combat Medical Technicians, I believe the British Army calls them). So when the British Army stop sending pipers into battle to play the bagpipes?
