Is it possible to delete a faction from the game? I am new to modding and in the descr_strat.txt I am trying to create one Roman faction, I can add a Scipii city to the Brutii or Julii or vice versa but when I add both of the cities the game crashes when I try to start a campaign. The same thing happens when I just delete the factions entry in the descr_strat. Can someone tell me if I need to edit a seperate file also, or even if this is possible at all? Thank you everyone.

first copy the folder and rename it then remove the factions from the top part of descr_strat and then give the julii/brutii all the cities and it should work.... i am not sure though (i haven't modded descr_strat in a while  )

What folder am I copying and renaming? And I remove the faction from the very top, where it says playable, unlockable, and non playable? And the entries for the senate, brutii, and scipii, do I delete them or leave them? And I can just delete the characters, correct? Sorry for all the questions but the more I try to do it the more questions I discover. Thank you for the help.:san_cheesy:

copy the whole of the imperial campaign folder and then rename that and then copy all of the base folder and put that in the new imperial campaign folder... delete map.rwm then make your changes if you have removed any factions get rid of them in the playable/non-playable place make sure you have asigned all the provinces to a faction then start a new game and in the single player menu there should be a 'provincial campaign' choice and use that....

btw i am not sure if you can get rid of the senate though so just have one roman factoin and a senate...

If you're interested in deleting a Roman faction see https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=50446.

This is primarily meant to show how to re-use Roman factions for another purpose, but it should also help you remove 2 Roman factions and the Senate. I've done this successfully but can't remember all the details. It's not complicated but there is always a gotcha. I can help if you have questions after you've read the above link and experimented a bit.

Thank you for your help both of you. I successfullly removed the brutii, scipii, and the senate! I deleted any mention of their names from the descr_strat.txt hehe. For a while I forgot the line under the Julii that said
Superfaction romans_senate
but after I deleted that it works without any problem! Thank you again!
