Cheats?

Is it possible to make it so that you can use cheats more than once and not have to exit the game(like in BI), for the original RTW.And if this is possible can someone tell me how?

I thought that restriction was lifted in 1.3?

I'm pretty sure I tested it in RTW 1.3: Using give_trait (which was limited to 2 uses before restarting IIRC) continuously to turn one of my family members into a veritable monster of depravity and corruption, worked fine.

yeh the restrictions got removed in 1.3..... i was testing it and i ended up with close to a million before i got bored with add_money

You could always edit the starting money for your faction in descr_strat to save time

yeh but that way if i wanted to play seriously i would always have loads of money.....

I always keep two descr_strat.txts, or more. One that is unmodded and the others that are modded.

Hi, I am new to RTW but would like to try out this altering descr_strat.txt thing to increase my start money. Any chance you could give me a step by step of how to do that?

I know that the restrictions were lifted in 1.3, but I have 2 cpus one thats a gaming one and one thats only good for internet. So I have RTW 1.0(basicaly I have the original only). Is there any way by just like editing a text file or something like that?

No, no reason you can't download the patch and transfer it across to you other computer though.

Also console commands can be run any number of times through scripts - have a look at A Beginner Guide to Scripting on the Scriptorium.

How do I download it and transfer it to a diffrent pc? I'm not a rocket scientist.

Also another question on cheats. Is there a way to make the process_rq cheat work? Cause all I get when I write this is "command not recognized".

i simply gave up on cheats. the only ones which seemed to work was the add_money 20000 bit...:no:

The wierd thing is that I downloaded the 1.3 patch and I still cant do cheats over and over again.:wall:

There is a cheat unlocker patch for rome total war here, it lets you cheat all you want and unlocks the cheats that wouldn't work. (like process_rq)
