Today, most of North-Eastern England was hit by snow, including where i live! Everything where i live is now coated in an inch or so of snow, and with any luck it will probably snow heavily again during the night.
Did anyone else get snow?

No...
We had an hour or so of sleet this morning, and an hour or so this afternoon.

We never get snow...I tell you, Cumbria, Merseyside, Dublin, Dumfries, Galloway, North Wales, Northern Ireland and Anglesey can all be covered in snow and the isle of man will not be touched, it's a christmas conspiracy!

Old man winter doesn't like the Isle of Man ~;)
Hey! We're not too hot on that icy hair, pointy nosed ******* either.
We do get like an inch of snow every year, for about a day, its great cos the whole island stops!
We just got blasted. Days and days of it. Now it's supposed to rain on Thursday so everyone is freaking out and screaming for us to shovel their roof before three tons of snow turns into six tons of wet concrete.
Backbreaking work but it pays well.

Thats what i dont get, comparing countries that have snow all the time, like Canada, and countries that have snow 1 day a year, like the isle of man.
You guys carry on with your normal lives, but we get an inch and not even cars are on the road

Slight snow this morning, but wasn't awake to see it. Far away from home for
the last week, and won't be back for a while yet. We don't usually get anything
too heavy until February. [Having said that, last couple of years have been
snowed in from Christmas Eve on to the New Year.]
Would say the novelty wears off reasonably quickly, unless you like to wrap
yourself up in that elusive spirit of Christmas I hear about every so often.

whats this sno sunw snow?
Can't remember what exactly was the day we actually had any real snow this year, but it came rather late though, in December.
I haven't got to define it's thickness this year but it sure is groaning nicely under shoes during walking. I don't think it's really thick, but I'd believe that it ain't going anywhere any time soon as it's minus 25 celsius-degrees (-25C) out there; I think it equals to some minus 13 fahrenheit-degrees (-13F).
The best part is that there are no bugs around. :loveg:

I live in Texas, so we don't get much, but over the last few days I had been in Kansas with some relatives and it didn't snow, but I found many big piles of snow. It must have snowed in Kansas rescently

Around 2 dm I think.
Had a considerble snowfall on christmas eve, although we had quite a bit of snow even before that.
I'll see if I can dig up a quite good photo on the snow up here, but I cannot check for it until the weekend.

In other words, it's cold without any snow. It's the kind of weather that makes you want to stay indoors. I understand.
This was Christmas day. Today is about 10cm more. Gorgeous out there though. A nighttime walk in a snowy world is a highlight of life. My little town is dead quiet at night and the Christmas lights shinning under the snow are very cool.

As I mentioned, we have roofs to shovel today. Once it hits the afternoon and me and my buddy are on the peak of someone's roof, I'm reaching for a small flask of my Christmas present. You want to see two grown men smile like a five year-old kid with a new pair of shoes...

If you travel east about an hour, and 'up' about 5,000 feet...we have snow too (tho' it hasn't snowed in my actual town since 1967). That's the snow-capped Laguna Mtns in the pic.

You lot can have my bloody snow. It's been snowing for 2 days straight now and I don't like it. Christmas is over now. Makes driving a pain in the butt and walking through town hazardous and cold. Long lives the sun and its shiny lovely warm rays!!!

It's a few years back and a bit later in on the winter (it's weeks before the spring), but it's about a normal amount of snow for a winter. :gring:
Edit: sorry about the size.
Jezees. ~
The highest I`ve ever gotten is 1 meter; and such amounts is quite unusual.

Wow, that's awesome Ironside! The most we ever get is about two feet, but if it stopped thawing and then snowing again we could probably accumulate that much. We probably won't though, the weather is too fond of melting all the snow and then dumping on us again.

It is rather cold here... only 21 to 31C, 70 to 88F... white sandy 'snowlike' beaches... it will be 41C for New Years Day... thats about 105 degrees F.
Oh the tyranny... I suppose the nuddist beaches will be popular as normal...

At approximately 11 o'clock last night, the rain started pouring down, washing away the snow. And, surprise surprise, it's still raining now, over 12 hours later. After all, this is Britain.
*All's well. Thanks everyone.

Admittably, that amount of snow comes from plowing the driveway to the garage and snow sliding from the roof.
So the other windows aren't nearly as bad. :winkg:
Currently it's slightly less than 50 cm and it will snow quite a bit the next few days.

Dear God,
I want snow in Las Vegas, 50cm is the minimum. Otherwise I won't believe in you. Look, just gimme some snow in Southern Nevada, alright? It's not that hard. It's useless to be cold without snow and you that!

Same here. The bus took 50% (=20 min more) more time on it to get to university, thanks to the slippery roads.
It's the usual insane weather it seems. Snow in Turkey, icing cold in Germany and eastern Europe and rain in northern Scandinania. :dizzy2:
