You like the show!?

Just watched the show with Pamela Anderson. :gring:
She is crazy. She gave someone some Playboy magazines and said: "Here are my Playboy editions, just cuz I heard yours worn out". Hehe. :gring:

Conan is the man though. Nobody compares.

Leno is generally pretty funny. I don't get in to Letterman much.

Strike, what do they teach ya'll down in texas! Leno is by far better than Letterman. The whole thing is that dave just tries to hard to be funny.

A little deja vu here. I was just today thinking about starting a topic on Leno because I had seen part of one of his shows. I was going to ask the honourable Org members if anyone thought he was funny. I thought not. In fact, all of his shows I have so far seen I found only marginally amusing. The same goes for Letterman. The Conan dude I don't know about so I can't comment.

So, my query: Is European humour THAT different to American humour or is it just me not finding it particularly funny?

The same goes for comedy on TV in general. Seinfeld, Simpsons et al I can't watch because it bores me to death. Now, I am well aware of the fact that there may be some hard core fans out there but I just can't watch any of the above metioned.

Please enlighten me!

Bill Hicks' take on Jay Leno about says it all for me. Letterman used to be good, but he hasn't really been the same since NBC/Leno screwed him over after Carson retired. It's been years since I had watched any network late night shows, and caught some of Letterman a couple of weeks back. Painful to watch. Cable late night shows have spoiled me.

European humour is much more different than the American humour. Seinfeld and the Simpsons also bore me. The only things I like are Jay Leno and the old FRIENDS.

And I don't even find Blackadder that humoristic.

Conan, then Leno... Letterman is only funny when he has funny guests, and that says alot. :gring:
