Hello All !

Does FRAPS record in Windows as well ? I tried this and it does nto seem to work. Any assistance most appreciated. I'm looking for a program to record screenshots in windows mode.

Thanks in advance.

Check to see if the Framerate counter is showing in the corner (F12 by default I think). Generally if it's visible, you can take screenshots and record movies. Sometimes the counter won't show up, and you might not be able to capture anything. If the screenshots can be grabbed in fullscreen mode, then I see little reason why in windowed mode you can't do the same thing. Is there perchance a conflict in buttons between FRAPS and the software in question? If so, change the button used to grab screenshots/movies in fraps and try again.

I don´t think it works, I´ve tried to take screenshots of a pdf document, they wouldn´t show up. Taking shots from PowerDVD works fine, however, even if the latter is running in window mode.
To take a desktop screenshot you best use the Print button and then CTRL-V in your image editing program, that should work fine.

Oh, if you mean taking screenshots of windows programs, then it won't work. I think FRAPS is just set up to grab anything that uses certain DirectX functions and such, - and not general desktop stuff.

Not sure about fraps BUT "Snag it" might ? or "camtasia" ! both of these are available on trial versions from their respective websites !
