First faction poll!! Yay!!:jumping:

So, who have you had the most fun playing so far (not necessarily what faction you have always liked the best, but since you've given the open-beta a try, which one has given you the most enjoyment)?

Follow-up question would of course be "why?"

I voted Baktria. I tried them first because I thought their background and stuff was the most interesting... and then I saw the EB starting economy. Now I'm scared to try any faction with more than 1 starting province :dizzy2:

Getai. I don't know why. I just do. I'd have said Sweboz but I didn't acctually come into contact with another faction until about 255 BC. I've started a third Campaign as Karthadastim, which is fun so far.

Romani... I don't feel right unless i play as the Romans... Can't get into a campaign unless it is as the Romans... Although when i've finished this Roman one i might have a bash at the Greeks or Britons. :2thumbsup:

Baktria most definetly, revolting against Selucid oppresion was the best and now the 10 year plus civil war which i'm 'surviving'. Pity I hit a nice big CTD which is constant, anyway I moved onto Epirus, who narrowly missed out on my vote. -Lu

Tough call. I enjoyed both Hayasdan and the Pahlava, yet the Parthians were the most fun considering how more challenging it is compared to the Armenians who basically get Kotais, Phraaspa, Albania and some other very nearby rebel town (Can't remember name, but it's close to Hayasdan province) for almost... "free". The Armenians have the ability to quickly get a solid foundation of power.

While the Pahlava begins with an alliance with Seleucid and the Bactrians, their situation makes a most challenging game. The Pahlava and the Armenians are by far the most entertaining factions to play, yet the Parthians take the cake. They basically get the same type of troops.

I played Koinon Hellenon and it was a lot of fun. I actually about lost the campaign. At one time I had control of Corinth, Thermon, and Chalkis, but then to huge Macedonian armies came and besieged Athens and Thermon. I ended up losing everthing but Rhodes. I started a campaign as Rome, but for some reason movement points didn't seem to work right and I had wanted to save them for a more complete version of EB anyway. I loaded a save game from my Greeks campaign before losing Athens and Thermon. This time I successfully defended Athens, but lost Thermon. At that battle of Athens I realized that my hoplites really suck against the Macedonian Pezhetairoi and that Thurophoroi can kill any Macedonian unit if deployed correctly. Now I'm using hoplites and Thureophoroi in equal parts and beating Macedon badly. I've captured Thessaly and Pella. Now they only have Thermon, Mytilene, and a territory to the north of Macedonia. I also likee the Greek ancillaries and ethnicities.

Pontos !
With the strong Seleucids in the south, the Galatians, Makedon, Koinon Hellenon and Hayasdan all your choices must be carreful...I lost two family members in a riot in Nikomedia and have a hard time against the Seleucids hetairoi...

I can't play a single game without encountering a CTD.

While I enjoy the game's new features, it's more of a pain in the ass then anything else. Bug testing is not fun!

This game will kick ass once the scripting is polished up. It's definately increased the standards for this modding community.

But if I have to give an answer, I'd say Carthage. You need to protect multiple fronts.

Not difficult to choose - romani are the only I've played so far ~:)

Getai looks very fun with their interesting starting position, and are probably going to be my next campaign, I think. Then Karthadastim and Baktria for a more difficult game, and then Casse, for an incredibly difficult game...

I chose the Arverni...mainly because my current game is going well, i really liked starting out in the civil war with the aedui and my gaestae are really kicking ass. im in 264 B.C., nearly all of the Aedui are dead and im still using my starting army who nearly all have 3 bronze chevrons or 3 silver chevrons...ive routed armies 3 times my size because of these elite veterns :)
