OK, I already have 1.2 installed. Is it really necessary to uninstall and reinstall. If so, why? More precisely, what do you mean by "clean"? I haven't used any mods on this install.

Haven't played RTW in ages! Add/Remove Programs states, Last Used: 2/12/05. Gosh, doesn't that say alot!

I've got two installs, a RTR and 1.2. I'd like to uninstall RTR, thing is the Uninstaller doesn't state *which* it will uninstall; interestingly, Add/Remove shows only a single RTW. If there are two installs shouldn't it show two installs available to be removed? I want those 2.3 gigs back! ;)

[Note to CA, quite obviously people will have multiple installs of the game, so the uninstaller should be able to be pointed to the intended install one wishes to remove. Also, a confirmation list of files s/b provided, as a final step before uninstalling.

I hesitate to click "OK", as NO information is provided as to what/which is going to be uninstalled. Thanks.]

Oh well, the d/l is finished, think I'll install EB over the existing 1.2 and see what happens.

TS, thanks you all for the mod that is EB!!!

Select you're RTR folder and press del. There its gone. The (un)installler will probably uinistall the original. BTW a clean install is indeed one without mods or patches.

EB requires a clean install of R:TW 1.2, which means no modifications, only the original game plus the 1.2 patch. If you have R:TR and 1.2 in seperate folders, no reinstall is necessary. You can simply EB in the 1.2 folder. However, if they are in the same folder, you will have to uninstall R:TR. I think R:TR comes with its own uninstaller, so it should give you no problem.

If it does, you will need to completely uninstall R:TW, reinstall it and install the 1.2 patch (used the zipped version: it saves you the trouble of cleaning the registry). I would also suggest copying the contents of the patched R:TW map to a new EB map, and install EB in that one. This way you can still install other mods or upgrade R:TW (which is probably going to be necessary for the full EB version ~;) ) and the shortcut in the start menu will still refer to the right (e.g. non-EB) version of R:TW.
