Hi,
for Rome Totalwar you got a nice foldout map with all cities on it. Is there something similar available for BI?

Cheers,

Nope. Well my copy didn't come with such a map. I don't know if someone's made an online version of the BI map though.

That's sad, thought someone would have made a pdf or so. Especially since it's winter, nights are long so either read a :book: or do something useful and create a map for those BI newbies :-)

Just use the toggle_fow cheat. With BI you can turn it off when your done.

Yup, you can use toggle_fow, but then you can see armies and such like that. I'd appreciate a map just so I have a vague idea of where I'm going, that's all I want, just a vague idea.

Thanks, but how do I do that? Just open the command line and type toggle_fow ?

Yep, that's all there is to it. A warning though, it is addicting. I love seeing how the other nations are doing and I just can't turn FOW back on now.

So, still no on-line version of the BI map then? I personally never want to disable the FoW as it allows me to see too much – I don’t want to know where all the armies are. To be honest I only want to use a map when I’m NOT playing the game, when I’m pre-planning or when I want to post on a forum somewhere and I need a place or region name (I mean who remembers them?).

I can’t see me getting the time to do a map myself (something simple in MS Paint would do) but someone out there must have time to spare.

eh... is the BI map not exactly the same are RTW? Only less cities?

just conquer the world and mark in your RTW map which cities have disappeared in BI?

Its not the same as the regional borders appear to have changed as well - not all of them though. Loads of cities have gone, some have appeared where there were none etc.

I'm not saying its a really long winded task to produce a map for BI, quite the opposite - another reason to be upset there wasn't one in the game really.
