symbols and banner skinning..

I want to become good at symbol and banner skinning, so that I am at least good at something. And I think that sounded fun.
The problem is that I am complete beginner.

Somebody knows some good tutorials to learn this. And what kind a programms I would need to be good at.??:help:

Check the scriptorium. It has everything youd want to know about modding RTW.

The only tool youll need is photoshop if you want to get into texturing.

yes, open a big symbol, make the inside one colour, get a symbol you like and play around....

after 20 minites i came up with this...

it is good for beginners to do this as it builds up photoshop experience whilst making good looking results.

where can I find the symbols that I can practis on????? And where in total war are those files. And do I nedd something to open those files in photoshop.. (some files got this dds. behind)

get the photoshop dds plugin...

Are the symbols packed? I dont remember. If they are then youll need XPAK to unpack the .pak files in your "data\packs\" folder.
